Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

The Lake House on Canandaigua

The Lake House on Canandaigua

A stay at Lake House on Canandaigua is an escape in itself. An enjoyable property with a luxury feel, The Lake House has that unique ability of being both leisure and luxury.

The impeccable design and interiors of The Lake House, along with the stunning backdrop of Lake Canandaigua make for this picturesque setting. The lake drew us in the moment we stepped foot in the lobby. Yes, you can see the lake from the lobby, its actually apart of everything you do while there. Whether you are sitting on your private deck or having dinner at Rose Tavern, the lake is always in sight.

Our room was one of the highlights of our entire stay. It had the comfort relaxed approach to make you feel right at home. Artisan carved hardwood bed frames, rain showers by Waterworks, and lakefront decks are a few things we noted during our stay.

There’s plenty to do on property like morning yoga on the lawn, going for a dip in the pool, taking a private boat cruise on the lake, or sitting in Adirondack chairs by the fire pit and watching the sunset .

While the hotel is fairly new, the on site restaurant Rose Tavern is now open. We actually dined there during opening week and thoroughly enjoyed all of the dishes. If the fluke or brussel sprout salad is on the menu during your visit, be sure to order it!

This place goes down on our list as one of our favorite stays. And even though the drive is a bit far from NYC (6 hours to be exact) a stay at The Lake House is well worth it.
